It’s taken a little while, we know. But we’re finally delivering the podcast version of the final episode of Radio Happy Hour. The truth is we’re just finally, two months later, recovering from the massive hangover from that show. It was great, and it was truly fantastic to see so many friends at the show to celebrate the show with us, and it warmed our nether-regions that so many past guests decided to come back and join us for the final shin dig.

Geocachers is a new show from Sam Osterhout, host of Radio Happy Hour, and Dustin Nelson, producer of Radio Happy Hour (and a bunch of other good kids). It’s an interview show that is only available online. You can check out the show at geocachersnyc.com. I’d explain the show, but I think it’s easier to just make you watch a couple of episodes.

Episode #19 is a little episode we call “Selling Out.” See, it’s the penultimate episode of Radio Happy Hour, and we tried to make the show keep working by selling more ad space for the show. That didn’t really…well…you’ll see. We didn’t have room for a murder mystery because we sold the whole show to advertisers. No, don’t pity us, the real losers were our guests, who didn’t get to be accused of murder at all. Nonetheless we convinced Sun Airway, Hank & Cupcakes, and Jared Logan to sell out with us. And our pals John & Molly Knefel came along to do a little selling out of their own.

Franz Nicolay was another of our favorite guests. Everything about him, from his mustache to the old timey microphone he always uses fit the aesthetic of Radio Happy Hour perfectly. Our friends from Robotic Raptor Studios were around for this one and shot Franz singing a new song in the green room.
We rather enjoyed making this series of three short films. We had some friends like John & Molly Knefel, Sean Patton, Brett Tabisel, and Ali Wong join us for a proper murder mystery starring the full Radio Happy Hour crew. Watch all three acts of the murder mystery below.
Andrew WK appeared on the third episode of Radio Happy Hour. Robin fell hopelessly in love with him, he played songs on piano that involved him pushing the piano across the floor and doing “Party Hard” a cappella (for a second), he had a whispering war with Sam, and acted in our tribute to John Hughes. How can you not love this guy. Also notable in the top video: Geoff Herbach. He was in the cast for the first three shows, and then was a guest when we were in Minneapolis, and he’s fantastic.
