We’re still a couple weeks from giving you a full fall season announcement, but we thought we could share that we’re going to be having Suckers on the show in December. That’s right. December 4, Suckers, Radio Happy Hour, tatter tots, bloody marys, murder. Those are the facts as we know them so far. We’ll be adding more guests to that show, as well as the October 2nd show with Born Ruffians. Tickets for the December show are on sale now. Below is the new video for the Suckers track “Black Sheep,” a video that you should watch once you’re done with the words here. OK. Almost there. Done.

Sam Hosting Upcoming Emanuel & the Fear Concert in NYC

While the show is on a late summer break I thought I’d pass along you can get a little bit of the RHH touch if you come down to Le Poisson Rouge Friday night to see Emanuel & the Fear (9 piece indie rock band) with the ArtBattles kids doing paintings all night as well as DJ Hester Prynn (a little inside), all of which will be hosted by Radio Happy Hour’s own Sam Osterhout.

Listen to Episode #11 w/ The Postelles, David Dondero, and William Ocean

Radio Happy Hour packed into the basement of Le Poisson Rouge on a humid July afternoon to tape episode #11 “The Don, The Delicious, and the Doom” featuring The Postelles, David Dondero, and 2009 US Air Guitar Champion William Ocean. This episode also featured an appearance from John and Molly Knefel and some sweet, sweet cello from cellist Justin Kantor. In this episode Sam finds himself at an Italian restaurant called Meatballs Inc., owned by David Dondero, who brings in a celebrity chef, William Ocean, to save his failing business. But his former cook turns up dead in the kitchen, and David Dargahi of The Postelles is sleeping with old women, and Sam has a badger costume for some reason, but it’s all part of the mystery in “The Don, The Delicious, and the Doom.”

Three New Songs from Nick Diamonds of Islands

As we said before, Nick Diamonds premiered three new songs on last month’s Radio Happy Hour. He said that they will all likely become Islands songs with a full band. Nick Diamonds of Islands played three new songs at Radio Happy Hour…Here’s One

When Nick Diamonds performed on Radio Happy Hour in June he performed three brand new tracks, which he said will likely become Islands songs. Over the next couple of days we’ll post all of the songs, but here is the first one. It’s called “Shotgun Vision.”
