Radio Happy Hour packed into the basement of Le Poisson Rouge on a humid July afternoon to tape episode #11 “The Don, The Delicious, and the Doom” featuring The Postelles, David Dondero, and 2009 US Air Guitar Champion William Ocean. This episode also featured an appearance from John and Molly Knefel and some sweet, sweet cello from cellist Justin Kantor. In this episode Sam finds himself at an Italian restaurant called Meatballs Inc., owned by David Dondero, who brings in a celebrity chef, William Ocean, to save his failing business. But his former cook turns up dead in the kitchen, and David Dargahi of The Postelles is sleeping with old women, and Sam has a badger costume for some reason, but it’s all part of the mystery in “The Don, The Delicious, and the Doom.”

Radio Happy Hour celebrated the one-year anniversary of the show in June with a special performance at Le Poisson Rouge. Episode #10, “The Little Flautist,” featured Nick Diamonds (who played some new songs), actor Eddie Kaye Thomas, and comedian Murray Hill. They aided Sam, Klontarf (who returns in episode 10, last seen in Episode #2), and the Radio Happy Hour crew in solving the mystery of the little Peter Gabriel and the murder of Reverend Jimmy.

This episode was also the debut of Radio Happy Hour’s new musician and foley man Rich Bologna. And if that isn’t enough excitement comedians Max Silvestri and Jessi Klein made an appearance during the audience quiz, composer David Handler contributed a little violin for Eddie Kaye Thomas and Nick Diamonds’ new cologne, and RHH producer Dustin Luke Nelson was the flautist of the title.
